Madame Tussauds. That is one of the places visited by the Nigerian kids who were privileged to be on the trip to London under the auspices of the Bournvita Children's Magic Flight to the United Kingdom.
Madame Tussauds is one of the world's leading tourist attractions, which is well known for its display of the effigies of world-renowned personalities in politics, business and showbiz among other areas of human endeavour.
The entertainment/tourism venue, which is located on Marylebone road currently, has over 500 life-size images of internationally known personalities and local celebrities.
The Nigerian delegation among the lot on display were able to identify the images of the heavyweight boxing champion, Muhammad Ali, former South African president, Dr. Nelson Mandela, football star, David Becham and his wife, Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II.
It was also an opportunity for the kids to meet great political leaders and have a personal audience with the queen herself. The premiere night at the venue also afforded the kids the rare chance of glitz and glamour as they took photographs with James Bond 007.
At the Auditorium however the children experienced Digistar 3 projector technology for the first time. The Auditorium is the first UK installation of the cutting-edge, all-dome, full-colour digital technology.
The facility afforded the kids the opportunity to see what powerful telescopes see within and outside planet earth, and to watch the universe explode with stunning colours and vibrant images.
The ‘magical experience,' which was sponsored by Cadbury Nigeria Plc was completed at the Spirit of London spectacular animatronics ride to witness how amazing London has changed and also witness the achievements of the greatest Londoners of all-times, from Shakespeare to the Swingers in the ‘60s.
