PLATTSBURGH — All Press-Republican fall sports coaching forms for high school soccer, cross-county, gymnastics and girls' swimming are due today. A number of teams still have not returned information.

MALONE — Larry Brown of Plattsburgh recorded a hole-in-one on the 11th hole of the East Course at Malone Golf Club. He used a 9 iron and had as witnesses Butch Morgan, Rob Bruno and Rick Lorey.
AUSABLE FORKS — Theron Snow scored his first hole-in-one ever Monday while playing the AuSable Valley Golf Course. He used a 7 iron to sink his tee shot on the 203-yard 11th hole.
PLATTSBURGH — The Northern Lights Track Club will host the first annual Terry Gordon Memorial Cumberland Head 10K Run on Saturday, Sept. 2. The race will start and finish at Cumberland Head School. Registration fee is $15. Early registration is recommended to secure a t-shirt on race day.

PORT HENRY — Paul Salerno Heating and Plumbing posted a 56 to score a seven-stroke victory in the Gross Division of the Helen F. McDonald Golf Tournament at Moriah Country Club. The winning team included Paul Salerno, Jr., Tim Salerno, Dave Rowe and Pat Salerno, Jr.
Three teams tied for second place with scores of 63: First Niagara Bank, the Team of Mitchell, Graney, Karkoski, Sherman and the Team of Gilbo, Cross, Stahl, Belzer.
Northern Insuring and Grand Union Family Markets shared top honors in the Net Division with Dodge, Chamberlain, Luzine and Weber finishing third.
LAKE PLACID — Lake Placid Youth Hockey will hold registration for the 2006-07 Season tonight, from 6-7:30, at the athletes' entrance to the Olympic Center. Lake Placid Youth Hockey will be offering hockey for boys at the Initiation, Mite, Squirt, Pee Wee and Bantam levels. It will be offering hockey for girls at Initiation, Mite, Squirt, 12 & Under and 16 & Under levels.
To participate players must at least be born in the year 2002 or later. For a more detailed explanation of the teams, visit the association's website at www.eteamz.com/lpyaa.
To register, parents need to first sign up their child with USA Hockey and then bring the needed forms tonight. Parents can visit the association's web site listed above to obtain detailed information on this process.
PLATTSBURGH — The fall kick-off of the ADK Family and Friends picnic will be held at Point au Roche Lecture Hall (town hall) lawn area near Deep Bay on Friday, Sept. 1. Ample parking is available and the public is welcome.
Bring your own place setting, beverage, meat to cook and a dish to share. Early arrivals welcome; there is plenty to do in the area. Picnic starts at 5:30 p.m., rain or shine.

PLATTSBURGH — Soccer United Girls Premier, a year-round, all-girl soccer club, this winter will add a U8 Developmental Program (ages 6-8), a U10 Team (8-10), and individual and/or team training. Soccer United also has competitive teams in the U12, U14, U16, and U18 age groups.
CHAMPLAIN — Bowl Mart Lanes will begin its Wednesday Night Border Mixed League on Sept. 6, at 6:30 p.m. Also, Bowl Mart will conduct an organizational meeting for the Women's Thursday Night League on Sept. 1, at 7 p.m.
The Saturday Night Early Starters Mixed League has room for two teams consisting of two men and two women. The league bowls at 6:30 p.m. Saturdays, beginning Sept. 9. For more information, contact Debbie Ebersole, at 643-2331.

PLATTSBURGH — Plattsburgh FC will host a soccer skills clinic for U-10 and U-12 boys and girls at the Plattsburgh State University turf field Thursday, August 31.
The clinic, hosted by Plattsburgh State head coach Chris Waterbury and several Cardinal players, is open to the public and runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Boys and girls interested in participating in the U-14 level for Plattsburgh FC should also be there at this time.
