The American Power Boat Association will visit Lewisville Lake for the Super Course nationals watercraft racing event from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Sunday at Willow Grove Park in Lake Dallas, 899 E. Thirty students have been named Goolsby Leadership Academy Scholars at the University of Texas at Arlington's College of Business Administration. From Arlington, the scholars are Qavi Ahmed, Matthew Davis, Uyen-Thu Do, Bryan Miller, Jose Perez, Tien Truong and Mary Ukpong. From Fort Worth, they are Erik Cartmill, Anne Delpuech, Patrick Espinosa and Rachel Kilmer.
Scholars from other cities include Joshua Buckelew of Bedford, Brian Chambers of Highland Village, Saelyn Dodson of Keller, Jeffrey Drumm of McKinney, Jordan Wagner of Coppell, and Michael Walkup of Grapevine.
Dallas Area Rapid Transit representatives present the preliminary designs for Carrollton's three proposed light rail train stations at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday in the City Council work session. The public is welcome. Stations are designated for downtown Carrollton at Belt Line at Interstate 35E, Trinity Mills at I-35E and North Carrollton at Frankford Road and I-35E. The work session will be on the second floor of Carrollton City Hall, 1945 E. Jackson Road. Station design images will be available after the presentation at www.cityofcarrollton.com.

The League of Women Voters of Irving will participate with other league chapters and organizations in a "DART Out the Vote" campaign.
